Copper Exploration in South Australia
Examples of potential magnetite breccia hosting IOGC type mineralisation, and potential hosts of Telfer/Havieron type mineralisation, see below or click on ACM (above left) for details of technology.
Archimedes has successfully adapted its ACM technology for use in the mineral exploration industry, Magnetic source bodies detected with ACM are visualised in 3D and computed magnetic susceptibilities are assigned colour ranges allowing features like pipe-shaped magnetite breccia of the IOGC or ISGC type to be identified rapidly from aeromagnetic datasets. Telfer/Havieron style deposits can be identified by the high magnetic susceptibility bodies intruded into the stratigraphy. This technique is also applied in the search for Massive Sulphide Ni-Cu deposits, MVT type deposits, Ironstone bodies and other prospects.

- Telfer/Havieron Poster (Download: jpg)
This poster shows exploration for semi-vertical pipe-shaped features that are potential magnetite breccia hosting IOGC type mineralisation within basement.
The poster and video show a central feeder from a possible intrusion and stratabound structures that are potential hosts of Telfer/Havieron type mineralisation.
